Bad hair day!

My mom finally convinced me to cut my hair...so I looked through the hair books and decided to get bangs. I dunno what the stylist was looking at, but I swear to god I look EXACTLY like Cameron in House. I have the EXACT same haircut. My mom laughed at me the whole way home. D-:< Luckily my hair looks ok in a ponytail. I've decided until I have long enough hair to cut it again I'll only be seen in a ponytail.

God, my hair sucks.

My image thing is annoying me. I used it to host my moodtheme, which has roughly 140 pictures, so I just used a zip file and extracted it using my browser. Doing that set all the files' damn permissions to '600' when I need them at '777'. In other words, I have to change the damn permissions on each image, one by one. D-:< I know I could do this with an FTP prog, but I don't feel like downloading anything else to my computer. So I'm changing each and every mood, one by one.

I've got accomplished-contemplative right now. This will take forever. D-:

And I totally didn't expect Bree to go through with marrying him. Was it just me, or did the woman who's carrying that baby for Gaby (I forget the word for it) have an unusual bump? It was fricking ten feet wide and was really lumpy. I've seen pregnant people, they look NOTHING like that.

Peoples, remind me to never EVER try and attempt using a custom moodtheme. EVER again.

I made some The Office (US) icons and Lost quotes icons. I was really only wanting to make Charlie's "Sorry, I confused it with the 900 trillion I'm worth" Then I decided to make some more...I have to say my favorite one is actually Jacks line about helping Sawyer get rid of his headache. "And what would I get for my trouble, a snappy one-liner. And, if I'm lucky, a new nickname." Possibly because that's so true. I tried to sort them by character, but it didn't go to well.

Dom Stillness

I decided to do something meaning ful with my life. So I made Dom icons for dom_stillness_. So on Wedsnday, come hell or high water, you have to vote for the one you think I made. Since I'm not allowed to show you guys. :-(

My dog has ear mites. I'm not sure how to get rid of them, so I'm taking him to the vet. Leaving my cat all alone for an hour. That's scary, because the only one that keeps her from destroying the house while I'm gone is the dog. I might have to take her with me. :-/ I'm sure dogs in the waiting room will love that.

Since I got a raise at work, I took my bonus and some money out of my savings account to buy stuff.

I bought:

Season 2 of Lost, Seasons 1&2 of The Office (They were on sale for $16 at Gamestop!), Animal Crossing for my DS, new pants, a shirt that says I <3 Desperate Housewives, and a blue camisole.

That was my exciting day. I also made some Lost Skate icons because I was trying my hand at animation (they're both the same except for text). Under a cut because it'sa *gasp* spoiler. Next up: some The Office icons. I've wanted to make some of Dwight fake-crying.

I was really bored so I made a lot of Sawyer icons, some Skate ones are mixed in. :-) (Today my mom said Sawyer was ugly...D-: She doesn't like his square jaw. Pfft. She told me that Hugh Laurie was hot. >.< Ew. She has a screwed up taste in men.) And yes, I over-use my square white brush.

to with only color layers.

1. Take your base in GIMP.

2. Create a new layer and fill it with #66a8e5. Set the blending mode to 'overlay'

3. Create a new layer and fill it with #f7c28a. Set the blending mode to 'multiply' opacity 48.2%

4. Create a new layer and fill it with #babbff. Set the blending mode to 'overlay' opacity 16.1%

5. Create a new layer and fill it with #ffffff. Set the blending mode to 'overlay' opacity 26.3%

6. Sharpen your base layer.

7. Paste this texture by lovelamp onto your image. set the blending mode to 'screen'.

You're done! Please credit me. ;-)

I got bit. By millions of them. Fleas. It's terrible. They got into my apartment. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. I'm calling exterminator people. Yah, but I had tons of tiny red dots on my foot so I called up my aunt, who's a doctor, and she said it was fleas. So then I started to see them. And now it's plain disgusting. I asked the landlord about it and she said the previous apartment owner had a dog. So that's how the fleas got there.

DAMN! I just got bit again. I'm gonna try to go to bed now. *try* is the key word. I'm itchy and paranoid right now.

Huh...it's funny, it seems like only a week has passed since Psych went on it's little break. Yet it's October. *gah* 3 and a half months. (How could they do this to us?!) I need to go make a Psych icon...err...all I have is my Family Guy one, my Skate ones, and my big letter 'P' (which stands for Pink, as in The Pink Whale)

The Gimp Tut #3 - More Skate

1. Take your base out in the GIMP.

2. Duplicate the base layer and set the blending mode to 'soft light'

3. Repeat step 2.

4. Duplicate the base layer and drag it to the top. Set the blending mode to 'screen'
There isn't a preview pic for some reason...

5. Take out your curves tool (Layer - Colors - Curves)

6. Set the first channel to x: 140 y:211

Red: x: 83 y: 100
Blue: x: 93 y: 112

You should be done! Add some cute text and that's it!

Warning: tutorial may contain a ~~whole ton~~ wee bit of Lost Kate/Sawyer-ness and spoilers for Season 3. You've been warned.

to in three easy steps! (Curves)

1. Take your base in GIMP.

2. Duplicate the base layer and set it to 'screen'.

3. Take out the curves tool (Layer - Color- Curves) make sure you are working with the screen layer. Set the Value channel to x: 64 and y: 137

You're done! I added some text. If you don't know how to use curves, I'd take a look in the archives at icon_tutorial. I'm sorry if I didn't explain this well enough, please ask questions if you have any.
